Call me now at 612-822-3773Key Management means many things to many different types of people and I will try to cover most of them on this web page.
Apartment ManagersApartment managers have been known from time to time to call up and request a new key system. One of the things we suggest right away is a good locking key organizer to store all there keys in.
Now if we happen to do a new master key system for them we will stamp all the new keys we cut for them with identity letters and numbers. “example” X1 or X2 which would stand for master keys. once all the keys have been identified with stamps we enter all the identities into a computer log spreadsheet. Print it out and hand it over to the property managers. Then they would hand out the keys and enter the persons name on the Computer generated spreadsheets. With the key Identity number. That way they know who has which key.In some cases property managers just need a Key Cabinet organizer with a spread sheet. And key tags they can write on. Property Owners Many times I get calls from a property owner who needs a key organizer. They may own multiple properties. And they travel to these properties all the time. So this said they request a key organizer that can travel with them. They usually lock it up and put it in the trunk of there vehicles. They tend to be made of a Tupperware type of plastic. And inside the have key tags attached to insert sheets. Each tag has paper inside them so the property owner can write the identity in which the key is used for. Some property managers just need a small lock box which they can leave at a property. We have all seen these they usually hang from a knob lock or are mounted to a wall. Many know them as realtor boxes. They have a code on them. So all's they have to do is enter the combination and open the box and there lays the keys they left in there..
Home owners I get calls all the time for people who locked themselves out of there homes. They go shopping, Jogging, Biking, or for a walk. Some people leave town on a flight and all these people do not like carrying a large key ring with them. So I suggest leaving the keys at home. I usually suggest to them, a small lock box which they can leave at a property. We have all seen these they usually hang from a knob lock or are mounted to a wall. Many know them as realtor boxes. They have a code on them. So all they have to do is enter the combination and open the box and there lays the house key they left in there. Problem solved.
